Andy Murray has continued his excellent return to form by defeating Roger Federer in the final of the Shanghai Masters in straight sets. The 6-3 6-2 victory comes after wins against Jo – Wilfried Tsonga and Juan Monaco but it was the ease with which he dispatched the world number 3 which shows that he is on way to regaining his top form following his disappointment in the US Open.
Murray, who is still without a coach, was delighted to have dominated against Federer:
"You can't let Roger get out in front, you have to go after him early and I returned his serve well tonight and got a lot of free points on my first serve.”
