The common conception of the Spanish Primera division is that there are only 2 teams of any importance: Barcelona and Real Madrid. However, if Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido is to be believed then there is a serious chance that they could well be the only two teams if an agreement cannot be made with regards to a more even distribution of television money.
Regardless of whether this actually happens, this could lead to interesting times for the two superpowers of world football. If the money were to be split on a collective basis the two clubs may well find themselves being more frugal in their transfer exploits and this would hopefully lead to the other teams breaking into the top two. However, if they do find themselves kicked out of their own league then what odds that this leads to the beginnings of a super league; one where the top teams of European football all break out from their respective leagues. Now imagine that!
