Cameroon's World Cup Dream Is Over

Eto'o opened the scoring
Cameroon are the first team to be knocked out of the 2010 World Cup after a 2-1 defeat to Denmark.

Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o had put Cameroon ahead with a fine finish but two goals from Nicklas Bendtner and Dennis Rommedahl won the game for the Danes and put Cameroon bottom of Group E. The result also confirms Holland's progression into the knockout stages who beat Japan 1-0 earlier in the day.

Denmark now face Japan on Thursday and the winner of that game will join the Dutch in the next round.
