Sweet England - well at least for now

So as we all know by now, there are a number of unofficial tracks being released by England fans looking to try and emulate great football songs in the past. Whilst the FA have been unwilling to stamp their endorsement on any of the releases, it certainly hasn't stopped enthusiastic fans from trying to get their chants synonymous with the England team.

Being an objective type of chap, my personal favourite can be found at www.sweetengland.com. That could well be because a few of the Sports Chronicle are involved in the video, but enough of that. The song, a derivative of Eric Coates' "Dambusters March" from the 1955 film, "The Dambusters", is the brainchild of former Twen2y 4 Se7en member Niall Keelaghan [of which Scotland and Glasgow Warriors rugby player Thom Evans was also a part of]. This is also a charity release, with the proceeds to be split between Spinal Research, CHASE hospice care for children and Help for Heroes, and all that for a £1 download.

Check out the video below and if you like it then join the cause! Not only should you download the track but vote for it at http://www.englishparliament.net/poll/englands-world-cup-song-2010.

Enjoy!!
